The Water Challenge
Can you do it?
Are you game to give this a try?
Let’s find out…
What is the water challenge?
Ok, so it goes like this – for 28 straight days, we want you to drink ONLY water when it’s time to grab something to drink.
No sodas, no diet sodas, no juices, no junk!
So with your food, or without it, water should be the only beverage you’re reachin’ for…
Why are we pressing people to take the water challenge?
Well, that’s actually pretty simple to answer.
It’s because most people are drinking way too much crap and are expecting to see results with the goals they set for their health.
Just the other day we met a young chick who couldn’t figure out why she couldn’t lose weight; yet, her diet told us all we needed to know.
Sure, she worked out at the gym a good amount, but she was smashing 2-3 sodas per day, eating loads of refined grains, and had somewhat of a fast-food habit.
Can we say sugar problem?
DUH?
For real dude?
I mean, we see it all the time. People struggling to get their weight in check, but are completely overlooking the fact that they’re food and drink choices completely suck!
You see, we’ve always been advocates of controlling what’s on the plate, rather than “how much” a person is working out. And this goes for “what’s in that cup” as well…
Drinking 3 sodas per day, then hitting the gym for 2-hours for some “treadmill torture” is just plain ridiculous if you ask us.
Treadmills can get quite lame, really fast, and they don’t even accomplish all that much!
As this study suggests, excessive cardio can do some real damage, and that’s just something that most aren’t aware of these days…
The thing to realize here is that most of one’s success within the weight loss game can be found by controlling their diet, not by burning calories or running for countless hours on some uncomfortable machine.
Yes, exercise is extremely important on so many levels, but people definitely have this whole exercise/food ratio out of whack!
And this is why we pose the water challenge for our people to try out!
There’s a huge chance that a person could lose 5, 10, 20, maybe even 30 pounds if they simply change what it is they’re drinking.
On top of that, water (along with pure foods) are the only two things that our bodies need to live well and thrive, so why is nearly everybody overlooking this extremely easy tip?
I mean, just look at how important water is for overall health!
Pretty important, don’t you think?
With all of the research out there pointing to the dangers involving soda, sugar, refined grains, and processed junk, it just makes sense to give something like this a try.
We (at least in America) have a major sugar problem on our hands, and all of that can certainly change if people start becoming more aware of what they’re drinking.
It’s estimated that the average American consumes roughly 150 pounds of sugar on an annual basis (beverages included!).
So how do you think this is going to affect one’s goals and/or desires for weight loss?
Hmmm?
So how about it?
You down to give this challenge a shot? Make some changes, and feel better?
If you focus on drinking only water with and without your meals for 28-days, we can almost guarantee that you will see some type of positive change with your body. Also to note, water quality is big on our list as well. Hit the filtered selections if you can, as fluoride and chlorine should be avoided if possible.
We do our best to drink filtered as much as we can ![]()
This challenge is pretty simple – where there was once a soda or juice, should now be a glass of pure water ![]()
So give it a shot, then let us know how things turned out…
Peace

The thing I love about water is you can drink as much as you want and its good for you. I like to drink fine whiskey and I used to mix it with soda. Now, I have replaced the soda with chilled filtered water and I don’t feel hungover the next day.
haha, nice Matt! We’ll def hit the whisky sometimes too! Whisky on the rocks! Hangovers suck dude!
What are your thoughts on tea during this challenge? I only ask because I *just* bought some really amazing teas–some each of black, green, and herbal. I can see how sticking to water only could help to break a person’s dependency on the sweet taste of beverages like pop or juice, but what about people who don’t drink their sugar?
Hey Sara, great question! We’re all for teas, but be careful of the highly caffeinated selections. Being that these can act as diuretics in many cases for some people, you’ll want to replenish with some water as well. Hit the teas for sure, but make sure to keep on top of that water intake. This will obviously vary from person to person, so just keep an eye on it. Thanks for the comment
